built and programmed a pedal interface that lets anyone of any music background improvise ambient strings and other sounds. Volunteers come up and play and I improvise alongside them. The meditation and freedom of improvisation is very special to me and this is my way of opening that world to others, regardless of music background. I most recently used this to let people play the đàn bầu at a Vietnamese water puppet production I scored.
